Dinner at Harry Browne’s.\n• On day 2\, our morning is devoted to three architectural and horticultural treasures within a two-block radius: William Paca House and Garden\, Chase-Lloyd House\, and Hammond-Harwood House\, all built in the 1700s.\n• After lunch\, we visit the Maryland State House\, the oldest state capitol still in continuous legislative use and a landmark of early American history.\n• In the evening\, we board a private yacht for sunset cocktails and dinner on the Severn River.\n• Our next morning is spent at the renowned United States Naval Academy. A guided tour introduces us to the Academy’s storied history\, midshipman life\, and distinguished traditions. Weather permitting\, we will observe the daily noon formation before enjoying lunch at The Alley (formerly the Officers’ Club).\n•After a moment of rest\, we will board a bus to cross the Chesapeake Bay and visit historic St. Michael’s. Seamlessly integrating post–World War II art with serene outdoor installations\, Glenstone offers a contemplative experience where art and landscape are in constant dialogue. Lunch provided. DESCRIPTION:Shirley Meneice Horticulture Conference – One GCH delegate will attend\nSan Marino\, CA \nFrom GCA Website: We are very excited to have you join us at the 2026 Shirley Meneice Horticulture Conference\, which will be held in person at The Huntington Library\, Art Museum\, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino\, California.  Many of you may recall that The Huntington hosted the first Shirley Meneice Horticulture Conference in 2002.  We are thrilled to have the opportunity to return to this spectacular venue\, which is home to sixteen themed gardens on roughly 130 acres in beautiful Southern California. \nThe title of the 2026 Conference is “The Green Mosaic\,” signifying the importance of native plants and animals and how they interact to support biodiversity\, which in turn creates healthy and resilient ecosystems.  We are planning two full days of speakers\, workshops\, tours\, and other activities\, including an al fresco dinner in the stunning Chinese Garden at The Huntington. \nInvitations will be sent as we get closer to the date of the Conference.  We look forward to seeing you there!
